Itís finally summer vacation! Finals went very smoothly, and I did very well in all my classes this semester. Moving out of the ICC went well too. It was a little sad to be moving out of there for good, but all good things must come to an end. At least I am moving into an apartment, so I am going to a better living situation. The ICC wasnít bad, but an apartment will obviously be better.
With summer vacation comes work. I was able to get a tutoring position at UML over the summer. I will be working 8 hours a week there, along with a job a local Target. Next week Iíll be working 42 hours. Itíll be good though. I get some money and it will keep me busy. Iím pretty sure most of the summer I will be working this much. Maybe not 42 hours but hopefully at least 30 hours a week.
Summer vacation has been going well, though. I have been hanging out with friends and relaxing before all my summer work starts. I hope the rest of the summer goes just as well.
Thatís all for now. Talk to you soon!
Finals week is finally upon us. Only exams separate college students from summer vacation. Me, like many others, have very little ambition to study. Luckily, my first final is next Tuesday, so hopefully I gain some ambition before then. And honestly, I donít feel like summer vacation starts in less than a week. It just doesnít feel like finals week to me at all. My friends and I have little stress. We donít know whether to be happy or worried about it. Also, the weather hasnít been too great, so maybe that has something to do with it not feeling like summer vacation.
It feels weird to be moving out of the ICC forever in a week. Iíve lived here for 2 years, and it just feels different to not be coming back here in the fall. Luckily, I am going to an apartment, so moving out isnít that bad. It will be a completely different lifestyle though. Cooking my own food, sleeping in smaller beds, actually being close to campus a few things. Iím sure it will be a good experience!
Thatís all for now. I guess Iíll try to study. Have a good one!
Well, we are down to the last day of classes and finals. Honestly, most my work is already finished. All thatís left for me is two finals and one take home final. Plus, I have practice finals for my two scheduled finals, so studying wonít even be that bad. Both of those finals are actually next Tuesday and Wednesday, so I have a week off between classes and exams. Because of all my free time, Iím actually tutoring for 30 hours this week. Since all of my friends will most likely be studying, I figured I should be productive as well.
I canít believe summer vacation starts in a week and a half. This semester went by so fast. It seems like every semester goes by even faster than the previous one. This summer will be a good one though. This is probably my last summer not working full time, so I better make it count!
I think I mentioned it in an earlier post, but me and my friends are living in an on campus apartment next year. We are going to try and cancel our meal plans in order to save some money. Iíll be sure to keep you all updated about this whole process as the summer and next semester unfold. Honestly, there just isnít too much to say about it at the moment.
Thatís all for now! Talk to you all soon!
