Here we are on Saturday August 11, which is only 3 weeks until freshman move to UML for the semester. This summer went by way too fast. I had a lot of fun and wish it would never end. Unfortunately, everything must come to an end eventually. I am looking forward to another academic year, which I think I already talked about last week. I guess all I can do is just to enjoy the last couple weeks of summer.
I really donít have too much planned for the rest of the summer. One of my friends turns 21 this weekend, but until I move in, thatís basically the only big event on my agenda. Besides that, itís just the usual summer activities, which there is nothing bad about that by the way. Maybe something else will come up. My family and I were going to take a trip to Florida before the summer ended, but we are going in late December instead. More on that later.
Thatís all for now. Talk to you soon.
Well, August is here which means one thing: the fall semester is quickly approaching. Honestly, Iím ready for it. This summer has been fun and all, but a new semester wonít be all bad. New classes are always interesting, as well as meeting new people. Plus, moving into an apartment will be a new experience as well.
Whenever I think of august, I always think of summer ending. Although it can be somewhat depressing, there is still another month of summer left. Iím more disappointed in the nice weather ending than a new semester coming. I am more of a summer person than winter person. Although fall and winter do have their good points, like football, hockey, and good food, like apple pie and obviously Thanksgiving. I guess all you can do is think of the positives.
Thatís all I have for now. Talk to you soon!
This weekend I actually made an important decision. I decided to go for a minor in Biology. As some of you may know, I was originally was a Biology major, but switched to Math during my sophomore year. I love Math, but I started to miss Biology a little bit. I am able to fit it in my schedule, so I figured I would go for it. Plus, it looks good if I decide to go into a field like Bioinformatics.
My friends and I have also started talking about what we need for our apartment. Even though we just started this process, it seems like we will be in pretty good shape. We are bringing the necessities the first day, and then we will go shopping for the stuff we forgot or just donít have already. Although there is still about five and a half weeks until we move in, it will go fast!
Thatís all for now! Talk to you soon!
Well my week of fun has concluded. My friendís beach house was as fun as I expected. It is hard to mess up the combination of the beach, friends, 45ís, and much more. (45ís is a card game by the way if you didnít know.) It was great to just relax for a couple days with no responsibilities. Visiting my friend in Connecticut was fun too. We went to see the new Batman movie, which was very good by the way. We also went to Mohegan Sun and walked around for a couple hours. Even with all the driving I did, it was still a great week.
With everything I have done this summer, I have now realized that it is now late July. Summer vacation is over half over and it is now time to start saving money and preparing for the new academic year. Now letís see if I actually follow this plan.

This week hasnít been too exciting, but it is the calm before the storm. I am actually taking 5 days off from work next week, from Wednesday to Sunday for a little vacation. One of my friendís family rents a beach house in Seabrook for a week every summer, so Iím going to head up there for a couple days. Them Iím going to head down to Connecticut to visit another friend for a night. Iím really looking forward to next week. I went to the beach house last year, and was the highlight of my summer. Letís hope this year lives up to the expectations.
Unfortunately, I really donít have too much to say. Since it is summer, I really donít have too much going on. Basically working and hanging out with friends, nothing too interesting. Things will pick up in a couple weeks actually. I need to start preparing for my apartment for the Fall and for the upcoming academic year, but letís wait for August for that.
Talk to you soon!
Well, the Fourth has come and gone. Mine was actually pretty fun. I went up to Hampton for the day with some friends. It was really nice out so there were no problems with weather. It was nice to just hang out at the beach for like ten hours. It is something you donít get to do often. We stayed for the fireworks at night, and those were fun too. It was also kind of cool because there was a small thunderstorm as the fireworks were going off, so you could see lightning in the sky behind the fireworks. Something that is unusual to see, but still awesome nonetheless.
This weekend, I will have a family cookout at my grandfatherís beach house in Maine. I havenít seen them for a long time so itíll be nice to have a mini family reunion. Iíll let you know how it goes!
Thatís all I have for now! Talk to you soon!
Camping this weekend was really fun! It was great to hang out with my friends from high school for a whole weekend. We went up to Maine along the Saco River. We canoed for the day on Saturday, which went better than I expected considering I didnít tip over. It did rain for some time on Friday after we arrived, but it didnít deter us from having a great time.
Now that the trip is over, itís time to go back to work unfortunately. Working is still going well, although I canít believe I have already been out of school for over a month. I can only hope the rest of summer doesnít go by this fast!
As of right now, I really donít have anything too big planned for the summer but Iím sure that will change soon! Iíll keep you all updated! Talk to you soon!
Sorry I havenít blogged in a couple weeks. This summer has actually been crazy. I havenít spent an entire day at my own house yet. Iím working 40 hours and 6 days a week, plus having a social life is taking up m entire summer. It is definitely worth it though.
This heat wave has been pretty great. I love the heat. If it could be 90 degrees or more every day it would be perfect. I went to the beach for the day yesterday and it was really fun. Iím actually leaving for camping later today for the weekend. Iíve been looking forward to this weekend for months so it should be pretty awesome. Iíll be sure to let you know how it goes!
Well, I should probably finish packing. Iíll try and write next week! Talk to you soon!
Well summer is in full swing! Iím working almost every day and hanging out with friends nightly. Iím definitely keeping busy, but I actually feel like summer is going by slowly. I have only been out of school for about 2 weeks. Also, I keep forgetting that it is only June 1st. I keep waiting for the weather to be really nice daily. I mean this week has been nice, but next week? Not so much. I guess I need some patience before itís 90 degrees daily.
Now that itís the beginning of summer, itís time to figure out the big plans of the season. My friends and I tried to rent a beach house for a week, but that didnít work out because we couldnít enough people who could commit this early. My family and I are probably taking a trip in late August. This could possibly be the last family vacation we take because my sister is 25 and Iím 21 and graduating next year. Iím sure more things will come up, so Iíll just play it by year for the rest.
Thatís all for now. Try and stay busy this summer!
Itís finally summer vacation! Finals went very smoothly, and I did very well in all my classes this semester. Moving out of the ICC went well too. It was a little sad to be moving out of there for good, but all good things must come to an end. At least I am moving into an apartment, so I am going to a better living situation. The ICC wasnít bad, but an apartment will obviously be better.
With summer vacation comes work. I was able to get a tutoring position at UML over the summer. I will be working 8 hours a week there, along with a job a local Target. Next week Iíll be working 42 hours. Itíll be good though. I get some money and it will keep me busy. Iím pretty sure most of the summer I will be working this much. Maybe not 42 hours but hopefully at least 30 hours a week.
Summer vacation has been going well, though. I have been hanging out with friends and relaxing before all my summer work starts. I hope the rest of the summer goes just as well.
Thatís all for now. Talk to you soon!
