Hello!

Here we are on Saturday August 11, which is only 3 weeks until freshman move to UML for the semester.  This summer went by way too fast.  I had a lot of fun and wish it would never end.  Unfortunately, everything must come to an end eventually.  I am looking forward to another academic year, which I think I already talked about last week.  I guess all I can do is just to enjoy the last couple weeks of summer.

I really don’t have too much planned for the rest of the summer.  One of my friends turns 21 this weekend, but until I move in, that’s basically the only big event on my agenda.  Besides that, it’s just the usual summer activities, which there is nothing bad about that by the way.  Maybe something else will come up.  My family and I were going to take a trip to Florida before the summer ended, but we are going in late December instead.  More on that later.

That’s all for now.  Talk to you soon.

                Hello!

Well, August is here which means one thing: the fall semester is quickly approaching.  Honestly, I’m ready for it.  This summer has been fun and all, but a new semester won’t be all bad.  New classes are always interesting, as well as meeting new people.  Plus, moving into an apartment will be a new experience as well.

Whenever I think of august, I always think of summer ending.  Although it can be somewhat depressing, there is still another month of summer left.  I’m more disappointed in the nice weather ending than a new semester coming.  I am more of a summer person than winter person.  Although fall and winter do have their good points, like football, hockey, and good food, like apple pie and obviously Thanksgiving.  I guess all you can do is think of the positives.

Biology Minor?

                Hello!

This weekend I actually made an important decision.  I decided to go for a minor in Biology.  As some of you may know, I was originally was a Biology major, but switched to Math during my sophomore year.  I love Math, but I started to miss Biology a little bit.  I am able to fit it in my schedule, so I figured I would go for it.  Plus, it looks good if I decide to go into a field like Bioinformatics.

My friends and I have also started talking about what we need for our apartment.  Even though we just started this process, it seems like we will be in pretty good shape.  We are bringing the necessities the first day, and then we will go shopping for the stuff we forgot or just don’t have already.  Although there is still about five and a half weeks until we move in, it will go fast!

That’s all for now!  Talk to you soon!

                Hello!

Well my week of fun has concluded.  My friend’s beach house was as fun as I expected.  It is hard to mess up the combination of the beach, friends, 45’s, and much more.  (45’s is a card game by the way if you didn’t know.)  It was great to just relax for a couple days with no responsibilities.  Visiting my friend in Connecticut was fun too.  We went to see the new Batman movie, which was very good by the way.  We also went to Mohegan Sun and walked around for a couple hours.  Even with all the driving I did, it was still a great week.

With everything I have done this summer, I have now realized that it is now late July.  Summer vacation is over half over and it is now time to start saving money and preparing for the new academic year.  Now let’s see if I actually follow this plan.

Mid-July Update

                Hello!

This week hasn’t been too exciting, but it is the calm before the storm.  I am actually taking 5 days off from work next week, from Wednesday to Sunday for a little vacation.  One of my friend’s family rents a beach house in Seabrook for a week every summer, so I’m going to head up there for a couple days.  Them I’m going to head down to Connecticut to visit another friend for a night.  I’m really looking forward to next week.  I went to the beach house last year, and was the highlight of my summer.  Let’s hope this year lives up to the expectations.

Unfortunately, I really don’t have too much to say.  Since it is summer, I really don’t have too much going on.  Basically working and hanging out with friends, nothing too interesting.  Things will pick up in a couple weeks actually.  I need to start preparing for my apartment for the Fall and for the upcoming academic year, but let’s wait for August for that.

July Fourth

                Hello!

Well, the Fourth has come and gone.  Mine was actually pretty fun.  I went up to Hampton for the day with some friends.  It was really nice out so there were no problems with weather.  It was nice to just hang out at the beach for like ten hours.  It is something you don’t get to do often.  We stayed for the fireworks at night, and those were fun too.  It was also kind of cool because there was a small thunderstorm as the fireworks were going off, so you could see lightning in the sky behind the fireworks.  Something that is unusual to see, but still awesome nonetheless.

This weekend, I will have a family cookout at my grandfather’s beach house in Maine.  I haven’t seen them for a long time so it’ll be nice to have a mini family reunion.  I’ll let you know how it goes!

That’s all I have for now!  Talk to you soon!

                Hello!

Camping this weekend was really fun!  It was great to hang out with my friends from high school for a whole weekend.  We went up to Maine along the Saco River.  We canoed for the day on Saturday, which went better than I expected considering I didn’t tip over.  It did rain for some time on Friday after we arrived, but it didn’t deter us from having a great time.

Now that the trip is over, it’s time to go back to work unfortunately.  Working is still going well, although I can’t believe I have already been out of school for over a month.  I can only hope the rest of summer doesn’t go by this fast!

As of right now, I really don’t have anything too big planned for the summer but I’m sure that will change soon!  I’ll keep you all updated!  Talk to you soon!

                Hello!

Sorry I haven’t blogged in a couple weeks.  This summer has actually been crazy.  I haven’t spent an entire day at my own house yet.  I’m working 40 hours and 6 days a week, plus having a social life is taking up m entire summer.  It is definitely worth it though.

This heat wave has been pretty great.  I love the heat.  If it could be 90 degrees or more every day it would be perfect.  I went to the beach for the day yesterday and it was really fun.  I’m actually leaving for camping later today for the weekend.  I’ve been looking forward to this weekend for months so it should be pretty awesome.  I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes!

Well, I should probably finish packing.  I’ll try and write next week!  Talk to you soon!

Summer!

                Hello!

Well summer is in full swing!  I’m working almost every day and hanging out with friends nightly.  I’m definitely keeping busy, but I actually feel like summer is going by slowly.  I have only been out of school for about 2 weeks.  Also, I keep forgetting that it is only June 1st.  I keep waiting for the weather to be really nice daily.  I mean this week has been nice, but next week? Not so much.  I guess I need some patience before it’s 90 degrees daily.

Now that it’s the beginning of summer, it’s time to figure out the big plans of the season.  My friends and I tried to rent a beach house for a week,  but that didn’t work out because we couldn’t enough people who could commit this early.  My family and I are probably taking a trip in late August.  This could possibly be the last family vacation we take because my sister is 25 and I’m 21 and graduating next year.  I’m sure more things will come up, so I’ll just play it by year for the rest.

That’s all for now.  Try and stay busy this summer!

                Hello!

It’s finally summer vacation!  Finals went very smoothly, and I did very well in all my classes this semester.  Moving out of the ICC went well too.  It was a little sad to be moving out of there for good, but all good things must come to an end.  At least I am moving into an apartment, so I am going to a better living situation.  The ICC wasn’t bad, but an apartment will obviously be better.

With summer vacation comes work.  I was able to get a tutoring position at UML over the summer.  I will be working 8 hours a week there, along with a job a local Target.  Next week I’ll be working 42 hours.  It’ll be good though.  I get some money and it will keep me busy.  I’m pretty sure most of the summer I will be working this much.  Maybe not 42 hours but hopefully at least 30 hours a week.

Summer vacation has been going well, though.  I have been hanging out with friends and relaxing before all my summer work starts.  I hope the rest of the summer goes just as well.

That’s all for now.  Talk to you soon!
