Happy 2011

Hi guys,

I want to take this opportunity and wish everyone a wonderful 2011... May all the wishes come true and that everything you work hard for gets achieved... Today we have the perfect excuse to look back to what happened this year and be grateful for all the wonderful things that came our way.... And hopefully learned for those hard moments...

Just keep looking forward and have a positive attitude.... I'm pretty sure 2011 will be better than 2010...

Have fun tonight and be safe!!!

See you next year..

Happy Holidays!!!!

Hello guys,

I'm sorry I've been a little lost.. A lot of things going on over the last week... I had my last final, had to do some christmas shopping,  then my sister came from Brazil to visit us .. then Christmas.. and finally the biggest snow storm of the year... Crazy.. wasn't it?

This past week there were a lot of things going on but I'm thankful I had the opportunity to have an amazing time with my family during Christmas...

Christmas is my favorite holiday because I enjoy all the traditions that comes with it... Not only because of the gifts we give each other but because of the Christmas carols and the delicious food my mom makes.

I hope everyone had a good time and share with the people you love... I'm really happy to have my family together for this special holiday... I'm just looking forward for New Year's Eve to look back and be grateful for all the many good things that happened to me this year...

I hope you guys have a really nice rest of the week... I'll be back soon ;)

Good luck during finals

Hi guys,

I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish everyone good luck during this week... For many of you this week represents another week during your college career.. But for others, like freshmen, it's the beginning of their career and their first finals week...

It feels that not too long ago I was loaded with finals and work to do during this week... I remembered it was a week of studying day and night.. As years pass by this week turned out to be a much easier week... I guess I got used to the routine....

I want to advice everyone to make sure you don't waste time and start studying as soon as possible... Some classes require more studying than others... try not to leave it until the last minute... and make sure you have a good night sleep... It will make you feel with a lot of energy and fresh the next day....

Good luck everyone!

Finals Time: Some Friendly tips

Hi guys,

This semester is pretty much over.. A lot of people are already getting ready to survive finals week... I wanted to share some ideas on how we can survive these crazy couple of weeks....

1. Find a place where you feel comfortable studying and where you might not be easily distracted... It can be the library, an empty classroom, or a lab

2. Get involved in group study sessions. Just get together with friends or classmates and help each other out... You can also bring some food to make sure everyone has the same energy all the time...

3. Make notes with key words you can easily remember. If you're class requires a lot of math just do a lot problems. Remember, we have a tutoring center where they can help you clarify any confusion you may have.

4. Have a good night sleep the day before

5. If you get too stressed out just do some exercise.., Running helps me to relax and makes me feel much better afterwards... It a great way to recharge batteries.

I hope these tips help you throughout the following weeks...

Have a nice rest of the week...

Paula ;)
