One week less

Hello guys,

One week down.. couple more to go..  My first week of classes was very productive. I'm taking six different classes. I managed my time so well that I was able to go to class, go to the gym four days of the week and work at my research lab for ten hours.

All my classes are very interesting. I'm taking three engineering classes, my last business class to complete my minor in business administration and two general courses. My two general education courses are a total different environment. Sometimes is good to go outside of the engineering world; especially because the girl/boy ratio is higher. I'm taking international relations and oral communication. I really like these two classes. On Monday I will have my first assignment; I need to prepare a speech about myself. The speech needs to be 3-4 minutes long. I'm kind of excited and anxious at the same time. I have never been great at public speaking but I know this class will help me to get better at it.

Overall, this week was a good one! I'm looking forward to the next X-weeks ahead of me. I'm looking forward to the day when I cross the stage and receive my diploma. I'm going to relax and spend some quality time with my family this weekend. Tomorrow saturday I will be participating at the AFTER DARK event at the rec center. I hope you guys have a great weekend as well and please don't hesitate to leave me any comments.

Few more days!

So, it's Thursday already.. I can't believe I'm only few days away to start my last semester as an undergrad student. This winter break was very productive.. I was able to work for a few weeks and enjoy some free time with my family, friends and boyfriend...

This last week I had it off and I did some personal things... I went to get my eyes checked and went to the dentist.. I'm planning to get my Colombian passport renewed tomorrow so I went got the pictures taken today...  I usually do this type of things during the break because I'm not sure how much free time I will have during the semester...

I'm very excited about this last semester.. It's going to be pretty interesting and I know for sure that I will learn a lot..
I will be pretty busy this semester but I'm planning to manage my time well so I can accomplish every goal I set. Since my earliest class is like at 11am, I'm planning on going to the gym in the morning... I'll let you guys know how it goes... ;)

Ok.. these are some of the things that are going on in my life right now.. I can't wait to start school and finally graduate... I hope everyone has a great weekend and an awesome first day of classes!

Hello Everyone ;)

My name is Paula Bustos and I'm a senior student in the Electrical Engineering Department here at UMass Lowell. I came to the United States about 6 years ago. I was born and raised in Colombia. I moved to the United States with my immediate family to look for better opportunities. My family has been a great support and they have offered me unconditional help.

I'm a very outgoing person. I enjoy outdoor activities, dancing and I love sports. I've been a very active person since I was a child. I used to play tennis at least 3 times a week after school. When I moved to the United States I played tennis for my high school during junior and senior year.

College was one of my dreams when I moved from Colombia. I was interested in Engineering because I was very curious to learn how things work. Since I started college I have learned a lot about current and future technologies and every day I'm more amazed of how the human being can be so smart and creative.

I'm very excited to start blogging and share many stories about myself and UML.You are more than welcome to send me any comments ;)
