Open House Pics & Thoughts

Hi folks.  Open House was this past Sunday, and by all accounts I have heard the event went smoothly and guests and on campus costituents alike seemed happy.  If you attended the open house and have feedback, you should expect an e-mail linking to a feedback survey in your e-mail soon, if you have not received that already.

I have to give big kudos to Erin Keene-Crouse and our Director, Kerri Johnston, for the job they did organizing the event while all of us admissions counselors were all on the road.  It is a big event, and planning requires a huge amount of time combing over details and meeting with other departments.  Again, the event went smoothly by all accounts I have heard, so I felt that was worth noting.

Here are some pics from the day:

The photos show the progression from empty arena to hopping open house venue.

The next big Admissions event is the Senior Academic Exploration Day.  The event will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.  The event includes:

  • Tour of a freshmen residence hall
  • Visit the Campus Recreation Center
  • Speak with current students
  • Meet faculty and staff from each college
  • Meet representatives from Financial Aid, Student Activities & Multicultural Affairs, Admissions, and Residence Life.

For more details on the event, go to this page.  To RSVP to the event, go to this page.  Hopefully we'll see you there!
